 Artenstolz was a very modern type of warmblood stallion displaying the finest characteristics of the Westfalen breed: ideal conformation, three pure paces, superior rideability and outstanding temperament.

He won many foal premiums and conformation/riding horse classes for young stallions in Germany. Following a successful jumper career, he was an FEI level dressage champion with his amateur owner competing at Prix St. George & Intermediare I. He was long listed for the Canadian Dressage Team in 1997.

 Artenstolz first Canadian foal crop arrived in 1995. He is the sire of:

• A Southern Melody - premium score at the Westfalen Mare Test in 1998, 5th of 18 mares.
• Artenz: the 1996 Canadian Warmblood Foal Futurity Reserve Champion. This impressive, branded Westfalen gelding is competing in dressage. Now sold to new owners in California.
• Ahlen - competing 3rd/4th level dressage in 2006.
• Arlo - multiple champion Dressage in 2007; sadly deceased 2007
• Autograph - Licensed son

   

  Artenstolz frozen semen is of good quality with an excellent conception rate on one heat cycle. Mares not eligible for presentation to the Westfalen Breeders may be entered with the CWHBA to register their foal. Limited Frozen semen is stored in Canada.
