A Southern Melody is a premium mare by the imported, German Approved Westfalen stallion Artenstolz. Melody represents the 3rd generation of our breeding program and comes from very strong mare performance lines of jumpers and eventers, as well as dressage horses. She is very laid back and fluid in her movement.

Melody herself passes on the talent for both dressage and jumpers. She was Mare Performance Tested by the Westfalen Verband at age 3 years, a mere 15 days under saddle. Of 18 mares presented, she scored a highly respectable 5th placing earning a premium. She was again lightly ridden in 2001/2002 when she was open and is a comfortable, easy ride.
