While her own dam, Bradner's Worry (Brady), was injured as a foal so has been a broodmare, her granddam Mariska's Gal, was not only a winning speed horse at the race track, she was an excellent event mare who competed succesfully with a junior rider for many years before retiring sound to the breeding shed at 16 years of age. Sire Wodan, competed to the top levels of show jumping and is a proven sire of quality show jumpers and hunters. His get are noted for natural ability, trainability, honesty and their excellent minds.
Marakesh was Brady's first foal. Presented at the 1999 Canadian Warmblood Mare Inspections at Milner Downs, she won her 4 year old mare class and was Reserve Champion of the inspection with a Premium score of 7.80. The wonderful score placed her 4th in the Nation for 1999 of 160 mares inspected across Canada.
Dr Lehmann's comments: "Expressive mare; well coupled; well set strong forehand; very correct mover". Dr Lehmann gave Marakesh 8's for saddle position, forelegs, breed & sex type, walk, general impression and an incredible '9' for her correctness of gaits.
