From an exceptional
pedigree this tall, elegant young stallion is showing the promise
of his heritage. His sire is the approved Dutch Warmblood stallion
Idocus - Grand Champion
of the 100 day Stallion Performance Test in 1993 in the USA.
At his performance test Idocus earned good marks for temperament,
gaits, trainability, jumping & his capacity to work. Then
in 2000, Idocus was approved by the KWPN in Holland and
completed his performance test in February 2001. Idocus
currently competes at the FEI levels of Dressage and has been
competing in Europe in 2001 with good placings at the stallion
show at Zwolle in Holland. Idocus will remain in Holland to further
his competition and training and prepare for the 2004 Olympics.
Oberon's dam Wirona, is an imported
Ster mare by the preferent Dutch stallion Kristal,
a highly regarded sire of dressage horses.
Oberon aquitted himself well at the 2000
Stallion Performance Test earning good marks for his Character,
Temperament, Willingness to work, gaits and rideability from
the training master and judges with a '9' for his Constitution.
Easy to handle and keen to work, he demonstrated good paces earning
a 5th place overall for his dressage with above average marks
in all paces especially his walk - this from a growthy young
horse only started in the spring of 2000. Dressage Index of: 108.54 Oberon's elegant exterior and expressive paces catch
people's attention when he enters the ring.
His first foal crop
arrived in 2001 and the large 2002 foal

Congratulations to her breeder, Su Bright, on their Reserve Championship
in the 2001 Foal Futurity! Congratulations again for Su Bright,
who was also very successful in 2003, with a clear win for her
filly out of Phaedra (by Final Pool) in the 2003 B.C. Foal Futurity.
In 2005, Oberon
competed in dressage and combined training with rider Twyla Tolmie,
who trains under Olympian Chelan Kozak.
